Literature
You
The night, it surrounds me
The water, it seizes me
My dreams, they defeat me
Your laughter, it awakens me
Your lies, they reassure me
It pleases me not
To stand here and cry out to the restless world
My undying adoration for you
For you do not love me in return
And rightfully so
I would rather you continue to be my laughter
My joy and my pain
Without ever knowing that I exist
Than to lose you all together
